The company KD TRANSPORT, International Forwarding Business Ltd., division MORAVIAN CHAINS is a traditional producer of industrial chains in the Czech Republic.

The tradition of chain manufacturing dates as far back as the 1850ś. The present day MORAVIAN CHAINS has successfully resumed the application of long-term experience and knowledge of its forerunners in this field. Chains from Hlubocky have been supplied to many customers not only in the Czech Republic but also to EU countries and countries outside the EU.

The division MORAVIAN CHAINS employs 65 personnel. The latest information and technological know-how of construction, forming and heat treatment of metals are used for the design and development of the chains. The Design Department is equipped with a leading CAD programme made by Rand Technologies. The entire product documentation is designed in the programme Pro/ENGINEER 2000 in 3D simulation.

Most of the used tools are produced in the company´s own tool workshop.The triaxial machine tool ACIERA F250V is used in the production of tools incorporating the software pro/ENGINEER. Individual parts of the chains are stamped on FEINTOOL presses, which ensures high accuracy of the stamped units. Heat treatment of the chain parts is conducted in the company´s own heat treatment workshop.MORAVIAN CHAINS co-operates with its suppliers in the field of laser cutting of material, vulcanization of rubber components and the production of plastic chain parts.

Production Programme

The production programme is focused on roller, bush, Gall´s and leaf chains which are manufactured in both standard and non-standard variations in millimetric and inches pitches.

Some special chains are designed and produced according to the customer´s requirements, inclusive of sprockets. The chains from MORAVIAN CHAINS find application in lifting and handling technologies, packing lines, furniture, paper and glass industries, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, agriculture, food-processing industry, breweries, malt plants, railway waggons, power stations, waterworks and other fields of entrepreneurial activities.
